Future mobility UX

Team project. We were invited to present our concept at the AutoTech WardsAuto UX Automotive Conference 2022 (USA) in front of over 2000 attendees.

My team designed and developed a ride-parcel pooling PSS for the future of mobility, focusing on the user experience in shared mobility systems. We aim to reduce congestion, target a premium user group (who resist shared mobility) and develop the novel idea of ride-parcel pooling system that reduces the overall number of vehicles on urban roads along with higher utilisation. The project aims to address these pressing issues through design engineering practices to develop a product service system viable in 2041.

UX designed for premium users was developed through human centered techniques and rigorous user testing with a VR demonstration, with the outcome being a private experience within a shared vehicle that can be personalised to the user through AR, audio experience and deliverables such as drinks directly to the passengers. A novel concept of a flexible structure was designed and developed, which enables premium users to be transported during peak periods and parcels to be delivered at off peak times.
